AW18 'Myth Of Data'

AW18 "myth of data"

‘A Journey To Reflect’

The rise of ‘digital art’, the ‘data artist’ and the concept of ‘digital humanism’ has given impulse to the SHOHEI Autumn/Winter 2018 ‘Myth of Data’ collection. This collection reflects on the term of data from an anthropological perspective to today’s digital era.

Digital data influences the way we see ourselves and our relationships.

It defines the way we act and think, observe and relate to our environment.

‘Myth of Data’ is a metaphorical journey where technology, nature and men become one. SHOHEI creates a dialog between man and the modern world within culture, technology and nature.

The ‘Myth of Data’ collection makes use of high-end Japanese textiles, sustainable materials such as Italian ALCANTARA bonded with SWAROVSKI crystal elements, super lightweight shirting fabrics, Italian stretch tailoring fabric, antibacterial jersey, GOTS certified boiled wool and technologically enhanced materials that interact with and adapt to our climate.
