The Kyoto-made natural dye uses fermented tannin juice from unripe persimmon fruit. Each piece is unique with its brush-stroke hand-applied textile dye. The material’s aesthetic naturally lead to the exploration of creating abstract paintings and scribblings which then got applied in form of top-stitching and used on overall formations on the shirts-designs specifically.
The idea is to create a product that makes the wearer look like they wear a piece of abstract modern art.
