Our high quality, luxurious and sensual textiles are sourced from long-term partners to ensure the quality and the reliability of our brand. Mainly we focus on using stock-service and 'dead-stock' materials.
One of the most important things to us is the use of cruelty free materials such as bio-based vegan leathers and GOTS or RWS certified wool. We source our materials at the Paris Premier Vision online platform, the Tokyo Fashion World and Tokyo premier textile exhibition as well as we support local craftsman. Our materials meet the expectations of being nature-inspired innovative, sustainable or traditionally crafted. The majority of our collections uses Lyocell TENCEL TM, organic cotton and bamboo viscose materials.
We are here to tell a story of the amazing textiles out there, such as luxurious Lyocell TENCEL TM textile with its silk-touch and anti-bacterial properties it is perfect for sensitive skin, the bio-based apple leather, the super soft and smooth bamboo viscose, recycled PET turned into outerwear, or to re-imagine a traditional crafted material in today's modern wardrobe such as the KAKISHIBU Kyoto-made persimmon fruit dye. TIMELESS DESIGN AESTHETIC
Our approach to design is to create products which last beyond the season and are labeled so called 'quiet luxury' and follow the principles of the 'slow fashion movement'. Our collection's signature styles are informed by minimal edgy aesthetic with a sensibility of Japanese taste which incorporates playfulness, versatility and originality. A highlight are the 'zero-waste' fashion styles which we keep on expanding each year.

The SHOHEI product's characteristics are a result of the highly skilled manufacturing cooperation we have build over the past years with our partner company based in Romania at Ploiești. We are proud to say we can offer made-to-measure pieces as well as limited edition collections throughout the year. This helps us to operate smart and to avoid unnecessary landfill of unsold stocks, which is a huge issue of the fashion industry.

Inside Austria and Japan we cooperate with the local post service.
For the SHOHEI packaging we are happy to partner with BETTER PACKAGING and their sustainable e-commerce mailer solution. BETTER PACKAGING has developed a regenerative product using certified recycled Ocean Bound Plastic.
